CIRCUMSTANCES

Linda Daniel’s common-law husband, Glenn Bauman, murdered she and her 13-year-old daughter, Cheyenne in July of 2011. No one knows the exact date of the murders, but Linda’s friends and family reported them missing in 2015.

Cheyenne was a student at Linwood Public School. The Waterloo Region District School Board said someone told them Cheyenne would not be returning to school in September, 2011, because her family was moving out of Ontario.

Daniel’s family and friends had not seen Linda or Cheyenne since July, 2011, and reported them as missing in 2015. The following year, police began investigations, and in Sept. 2017, they found their remains both inside and outside of the home they shared with Bauman in 2011.

Friends and family are still wondering how it could take four and a half years for police to launch an investigation.

Bauman was arrested in Valleyview, Alberta, and entered a plea of not-guilty to the 1st-degree murder charges in a Kitchener courthouse on April 9, 2019.
