CIRCUMSTANCES
Police officers responded to a disturbance call at an apartment in Sturgeon Falls on November 15, 2017, where they found the wounded body of Tammy Avery. She later died.
Jason Dempsey, an eyewitness, reported hearing Avery and her boyfriend, Marc Pierre Gauthier, 52, arguing in their apartment.
“He was screaming out the window, someone died call 911, Dempsey said. “The cops had been called by neighbours and they couldn’t get in so I busted down that door. He took off and ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I broke down the door and arrested him but Tammy had already passed from her injuries. A beautiful angel gone to heaven.”
