Circumstances
On August 19, 2018, Kawartha Lakes OPP found two people dead on a property known as ‘Freedom Ranch’ located on Spen Haven Road, north of Lindsay. Wendy Allan, 51, was found dead from gunshot wounds where police also found the body of her husband, John Allan, dead from suicide.
Neighbours said the Allans were private, but pleasant.
The Kawartha Lakes Human Society removed several pets from the property and animal welfare staff are caring for the livestock on the property.
The Allans had three teenaged children.
